Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before creating an account or accessing any content on Listening Between the Lines (“LBTL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at listeningbtl.com.

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or using any part of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.


1. About LBTL and Our Platform

Listening Between the Lines is an audiology educational and coaching platform founded by Anastasiya Martynova, Doctor of Audiology. LBTL provides aural rehabilitation resources, self-paced digital courses, coaching calls, and community-based programs designed to support individuals navigating hearing loss, cochlear implants, and auditory processing challenges.

LBTL is an educational platform. It is not a medical practice, and use of our platform does not constitute a clinical relationship between you and Anastasiya Martynova or any other audiologist affiliated with LBTL. Nothing on our platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed audiologist or healthcare provider for clinical evaluation and guidance specific to your hearing health.


2. Eligibility

To use our platform, you must:

By using our platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are accessing LBTL on behalf of another person, you represent that you have the authority to bind that person to these Terms.


3. Account Registration

3.1 Creating Your Account

To access course content, you must create an account on our platform, hosted by Thinkific. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at listeningbtl.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Your account is personal to you and may not be shared with or transferred to any other individual. Sharing account credentials with others is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination without refund.


4. Courses, Programs, and Purchases

4.1 Enrollment

Upon purchase and enrollment, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access the course content for the access period specified at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, course access is lifetime for the individual purchaser.

4.2 Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment processor. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the payment method provided. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time; changes will not affect existing purchases.

4.3 Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the content, refunds are not available. 

4.4 Membership and Subscriptions

Membership programs (including The Listening Space, if applicable) are billed on a recurring basis as specified at enrollment. You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.


5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content on our platform — including but not limited to course videos, audio recordings, written materials, workbooks, graphics, frameworks, and the LBTL brand — is the intellectual property of Listening Between the Lines and Anastasiya Martynova, Au.D., and is protected by United States copyright law.

5.2 Your License to Use Content

Upon enrollment, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course content for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not include the right to:

If you submit content to our platform — including discussion posts, community comments, or feedback — you grant LBTL a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and moderate that content within the platform. You retain ownership of your submissions. You represent that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.


6. Community Standards and Acceptable Use

LBTL maintains a supportive, respectful learning environment. By participating in any community space, discussion board, or group program, you agree not to:

7. Not Medical Advice

LBTL provides educational content and coaching about hearing health, hearing devices, aural rehabilitation, auditory processing, and related topics. This content is intended for general informational and educational purposes only.

Nothing on our platform — including course content, community discussions, or any communication from Anastasiya Martynova or LBTL staff — constitutes medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or a recommendation for treatment. Use of our platform does not create an audiologist-patient or therapist-client relationship.

Always seek the guidance of a licensed audiologist, physician, or qualified healthcare provider with questions about your specific hearing health, hearing devices, or medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or heard on our platform.


8. Third-Party Platforms and Links

Our platform is hosted by Thinkific. By using our platform, you are also subject to Thinkific’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the practices of Thinkific or any other third-party service provider.

Our platform may contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site.


9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Platform Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure our platform is available and functioning. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice.

9.2 Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LBTL PROVIDES ITS PLATFORM AND CONTENT “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LBTL, DR. ANA, AND OUR AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR PLATFORM OR CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LBTL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.


10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LBTL, Anastasiya Martynova, and our officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of our platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to our platform.


11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your license to access course content will end immediately.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a refund given that refunds are not offered due to the digital nature of the product and service. 


12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Contra Costa County, California.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The most current version will always be available at listeningbtl.com.


14. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LBTL regarding your use of the platform and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

No Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
